Bangs & Talbot is a British duo formed by DJ Chris Bangs and keyboardist Mick Talbot, known for their elegant blend of soul, funk and acid jazz. Their music is in the vein of 1990s British acid soul, with refined rhythms, groovy bass lines, typical Hammond keyboards and careful arrangements reminiscent of the sound of London's jazz-funk clubs of the time. Chris Bangs, an influential DJ and producer on the acid jazz scene, contributes his sense of rhythm and groove, while Mick Talbot, renowned keyboardist (The Style Council, Dexys Midnight Runners), brings rich, melodic textures to their compositions. In 2022, the duo produced the singles "Sumhtin' Else!", "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)" after Marvin Gaye, and "Surf'N'Turf", before releasing the album Back to Business on Acid Jazz Records. Released in 2025, the following single "K-Jee " reached number 37 on the UK vinyl charts.
