Randy Napoleon, born on May 30, 1978, in Brooklyn, New York, is an American jazz guitarist. He began his musical journey at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he played in the school's big band under Louis Smith. After graduating from the University of Michigan's School of Music, Napoleon moved to New York City in 1999 and established himself as a sideman. His career included collaborations with notable artists such as Benny Green, the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, and Michael Bublé. As a leader, he formed the Randy Napoleon Trio, which released albums like Enjoy the Moment and Between Friends (2006). Napoleon was also a member of the Freddy Cole Quartet and performed at prestigious venues worldwide, including Lincoln Center and the Royal Albert Hall. He is a jazz professor at Michigan State University.
