Biography

Spanish new wave band Radio Futura released their debut single "Enamorado de la moda juvenil" in 1980 and the Music Moderna album that same year, establishing their presence in the emerging Spanish post‑punk scene. The Law of the Desert / The Law of the Sea (1984), A Country in Flames (1985), and The Song of Juan Perro (1987) followed, producing hits such as "Semilla Negra" (1984) and "37 Grados" (1987). The band toured extensively across Spain, including a 1989 live album Escuela de Calor. El directo de Radio Futura (1989), and signed with Ariola-Eurodisc. Their final studio album Veneno en la piel (1990) topped the Spanish charts, and "Veneno en la piel" reached Number 1. Radio Futura disbanded in 1992 after the release of Tierra para bailar and a compilation Rarezas (1992).
