Biography

Jaguares was a Mexican alternative rock supergroup formed in 1996, emerging after the dissolution of Caifanes due to internal conflicts between Saúl Hernández and Alejandro Marcovich. Led by Hernández on vocals and guitar, alongside Alfonso André on drums, their debut album, El Equilibrio de los Jaguares, was released in 1996 and featured notable tracks such as "Detrás de los cerros" and "Nunca te doblarás". Subsequent albums included Bajo el azul de tu misterio (1999) and Cuando la sangre galopa (2001). Their final studio album, 45, was released in 2008 and earned them a Grammy Award for Best Alternative or Rock Album in 2009. Jaguares entered an indefinite hiatus in late 2010 following the formal return of Caifanes.
