Rachael Sage, born Karen Rachael Weitzman in 1971 in Port Chester, Newâ¯York, is an American singerâsongwriter who began her career after studying drama at Stanford and attending the School of American Ballet. She released her debut album, Morbid Romantic, in 1996 on her own label MPress Records, followed by albums like Illusion's Carnival (2002) and Delancey Street (2010). Sage earned a 2005 Independent Music Award for "Sacrifice" from Ballads & Burlesque and a 2011 nomination for Best Story Song. She toured Europe and North America, collaborated with Judy Collins, and shared stages with Ani DiFranco and Sarah McLachlan. In addition to her music career, she is also a visual artist and has exhibited her work in galleries in Lower Manhattan.
