Quadro Nuevo is a German acoustic quartet formed in 1996, performing world music and jazz with influences from tango, Valse Musette, flamenco, and Italian film music. The original lineup consisted of Mulo Francel, Robert Wolf, D.D. Lowka, and Heinz-Ludger Jeromin, with Andreas Hinterseher joining in 2002 and Evelyn Huber later becoming a member. The group has performed internationally at festivals including the Montreal Jazz Festival and Burghausen International Jazz Week, earning recognition as one of Germanyâs most successful jazz and world music ensembles. Their album Mocca Flor (2004) reached Number 1 on the German world Music Charts and number 91 on the German album charts. Tango Bitter Sweet (2006) also topped the German World Music Charts and reached number 2 on the German jazz charts.
