Biography
Pushmonkey is an American hard rock band from Austin, Texas. Originally known as Billy Pilgrim, they later changed their name to Mad Hatter and then to just Hatter before settling on Pushmonkey. The band's initial breakthrough came with the release of their self-titled album in 1998, which featured the song "Handslide" that gained minor radio success. They were also featured in season 7 of Melrose Place and performed at Ozzfest in 1999 and Woodstock '99 in support of their debut album. In 2007, Pushmonkey won the first FameCast.com Battle of the Bands contest. The band released two more albums, El Bitché in 2001 and Year of the Monkey in 2004. Notable members include Tony Park on lead vocals and trumpet, Darwin Keys on drums and vocals, Will Hoffman on guitar and vocals, Pat Fogarty on bass and vocals, Howie Behrens on guitar and vocals.
