Biography

Podunk is an American hard rock band formed in 1992 in the United States. The group was established by the musicians Jason Touchette, Duncan Isenhower, Paul Soroski, and Brian Hays. They developed a style similar to AC/DC and the Black Crowes and performed at the South by Southwest festival in the mid-1990s. Their debut recording, Breech (1995), was followed by the recording Murlin's Dock (1996). Their discography includes the album Throwin' Bones (1998), which featured the track “Wings” (1998) and was re-released nationally by Matchbox Records in 2000. The band performed as an opening act for artists including Tesla and King's X. Their recordings appeared on several volumes of the Local Licks Live series produced by the radio station KLBJ. Subsequent recordings include the albums Podunk (2002) and The Vault (2013).
