Biography

Sick Puppies, an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1997, have built a reputation for their high-energy performances and genre-blending sound. Founders Shimon Moore and Emma Anzai, who bonded over their love for Silverchair, started playing together in high school before recruiting drummer Chris Mileski to complete the lineup. Their debut album, Welcome to the Real World, arrived in 2001, but it was their viral hit "All the Same" in 2006—tied to the Free Hugs Campaign—that brought international attention. In 2007, the band released Dressed Up as Life, followed by Tri-Polar in 2009, featuring the breakout single "You're Going Down." After the success of their third album, they continued to evolve with Connect in 2013, their last record with Shimon Moore before his departure in 2014. With Bryan Scott stepping in as lead vocalist, the band released Fury in 2016, showcasing a heavier sound. In 2024, they dropped the tracks "There Goes the Neighborhood" and "Going Places" as the first two singles from their highly anticipated sixth studio album, Wave the Bull.
