Biography
Poverty's No Crime, a progressive metal band from Twistringen, Germany, was formed in 1991 by Volker Walsemann, Marco Ahrens, Christian Scheele, Marcello Maniscalco, and Andreas Tegeler. The band won the Newcomer Rock Festival in 1992. They released two demos, My Favourite Delusion (1993) and Perfect Wings (1994). Their debut album, Symbiosis, was released in 1995 under Noise Records. The band followed up with The Autumn Years in 1996 and toured extensively across Europe alongside acts such as Victory, Virgin Steele, and Angra. After parting ways with Noise Records, Poverty's No Crime continued to release albums, including Slave to the Mind (1999), One in a Million (2001), and The Chemical Chaos (2003) under InsideOut Music. After a long break, the band returned in 2016 with the album Spiral of Fear, followed by A Secret to Hide in 2021.
