Biography
The preschool educational brand Pinkfong was formed in 2010 as part of the SmartStudy company. They have produced more than 4000 children's videos, songs, games and apps and have in excess of 13 million subscribers on their YouTube channel 'Pinkfong! Kids' Songs and Stories'. Pinkfong is a pink fox from the planet Staria and the channel consists of preschool songs, rhymes and stories incorporating colours, animals, numbers and letters with bright animations and catchy tunes.
In 2015, Pinkfong released a video of the campfire song 'Baby Shark' which instantly became an internet sensation, reaching audiences across the globe and achieving more than two million views on YouTube. The song has more than 100 variations in 11 different languages and reached the top of the Children's Music Chart on iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play and Amazon Music. A dance craze and challenge called #babysharkchallenge inspired by the song also became a worldwide phenomenon and was taken up by celebrities including James Corden, Sophie Turner, Josh Groban, Tyra Banks and Ellen DeGeneres.
Pinkfong's first physical album 'Pinkfong Presents the Best of Baby Shark' was released in 2018 and in the same year, 'Baby Shark' was streamed so many times that it reached number 30 in the UK Singles Chart.
