Ilona Mitrecey, born Ilona Mitrecey on September 1, 1993, in Fontenay-aux-Roses, France, is a French singer known for her children's music. She studied at the Lycée Pasteur in Neuilly-sur-Seine and her breakthrough came with the release of "Un monde parfait", a techno-infused children's song that topped the French charts in March 2005, selling over 1.5 million copies, becoming the best-selling single of the decade in France. Following this success, she released several more singles including "C'est les vacances" and "Dans ma fusée" during the same year. Her debut album, Un monde parfait, was released in October 2005. Mitrecey's music also gained popularity in Germany and Portugal. She collaborated with her sister Maïlis on the song "On s'adore" for her second album, Laissez-nous respirer (2006), which included "L'éléphant blanc" (2006), a tribute to Professor Alain Deloche of La Chaîne de l'espoir. Despite limited live performances, Mitrecey was unique in using a virtual character in her music videos while maintaining her real identity. She announced the end of her singing career in 2007 to focus on her studies. In 2019, her former team rebranded under "Ilona" to release new songs and an album titled Magical World, without Mitrecey's involvement.
