Biography

Widely regarded as one of the most important Christian artists in Latin America, Dominican singer Lilly Goodman was born Liliana Goodman Meregildo on December 19, 1980, in Santo Domingo. She began singing at her local church and recorded a few singles for radio and TV before officially launching her career in 1999. Recorded in 2000, her studio debut Contigo Dios (2001) became an astounding success in both Latin America and the United States thanks to songs like "Puede Ser," "No Importa," and "Iglesia." After signing a record deal with Vástago Producciones, Lilly Goodman got her big break with 2003's Vuelve a Casa, starting a successful run of commercially acclaimed albums that continued on Abrigo (2004) and Sobreviviré (2006), an R&B-flavored release that enjoyed great popularity in Brazil. Largely a self-produced affair, 2008's Sin Miedo a Nada was released in 2008 via her label Promesas Producciones. The album featured the hit single "Al Final," which won Song of the Year at the 2009 Premios Arpa. In the following years, Lilly Goodman kept inspiring Christian audiences throughout the Spanish-speaking world with albums such as Amor, Favor y Gracia (2013), A Viva Voz (2018), and Cielo (2021).
