Biography

Piero Milesi, born on January 28, 1953, in Milan, Italy, was a musician, composer, and arranger. He began his career studying cello, composition, and experimental electronic music. In 1977, he joined the International Folk Group of Moni Ovadia as both a performer and composer. His breakthrough came with the two-part composition "Modi", published by Cherry Red Records in 1982. Notable works include The Nuclear Observatory of Mr. Nanof and Camera Astratta, both released by Cuneiform Records. He also arranged and produced the album by Fabrizio De André, Anime salve. Milesi collaborated with various artists, including Fiorella Mannoia and Luciano Ligabue, and composed soundtracks for film and theater. Piero Milesi passed away on October 30, 2011, in Levanto.
