Biography

Paul Parker, born on July 2, 1952, in San Francisco, California, is an American Hi-NRG and dance singer. His career began in the early 1980s with the release of his first single, "Welcome To Freedom / Nowhere To Fall" (1981). Parker's greatest success came in the 1980s, when he reached Number 1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart twice. First was the single "Right on Target", from his debut album Too Much to Dream (1983). His subsequent releases, including the album Destiny (1995), and notable tracks such as "Shot in the Night" and "One Look (One Look Was Enough)". Throughout the 1990s, Parker continued to release dance covers. His collaboration with UTMOSIS in the late 2000s resulted in digital single releases like "Don't Stop (What You're Doin' to Me)" (2008). In 2013, he released the EP Harlem Nights Superman, inspired by the classic Patrick Cowley style.
