Biography

Paul Korda, born Paul Kunstler in Singapore in 1948, was a singer and songwriter. He began his musical journey at age nine by writing his first musical. At seventeen, he released his debut single "Go on Home" under EMI's Columbia label. In 1967, Korda signed with Andrew Loog Oldham's Immediate Records publishing company and wrote the charting song "The Time Has Come" for P.P. Arnold. He formed his first professional band in 1967 and was cast in the musical Hair: The American Tribal Love/Rock Musical, which ran at London's Shaftesbury Theatre from September 27, 1968 to July 1973. Korda's solo career included albums such as Passing Stranger (1971), Dancing in the Aisles (1979), and Seeds (2008). He also contributed to the British rock-fusion band Dada, which released their self-titled album Dada in 1970. Korda passed away on March 11, 2020.
