Parsnip is an Australian rock band formed in early 2016 in Melbourne. The initial lineup included Sequoia Harris on organ, Carolyn Hawkins on drums, Paris Richens on bass guitar and vocals, and Stella Rennex on guitar and vocals, who all met at Geelong's Jerkfest and spent their first year playing almost every week before releasing their debut self-titled EP in 2017. Harris was later replaced by Rebecca Liston on keyboards. In 2019, Parsnip released their debut album When the Tree Bears Fruit, which was followed by a tour of the United States. The band also released several EPs, including Feeling Small in 2018 and Adding Up in 2020. In 2022, Parsnip participated in the Homecoming tour, performing in their hometowns after the COVID-19 lockdowns.
