The elaborately named Argentinian rock group Indio Solari y Los Fundamentalistas del Aire Acondicionado, was conceived by Carlos Alberto Solari (born Paraná, Entre RÃos, Argentina on January 17, 1949), in 2004. The group formed from the ashes of the vocalist's former band Patricio Rey y Sus Redonditos de Ricota, and was initially a solo project for Solari, who uses the pseudonym "Protoplasman" to refer to himself. They expanded and weathered a number of lineup changes over the years, adding guitarists Baltasar Comotto and Gaspar Benegas, bassist Fernando Nalé, as well as saxophone and trumpet players. As a result, the group's rock-based sound is accented with jazzy tones, particularly on the debut. They have released five albums to date, beginning with El Tesoro de Los Inocentes in 2004. 2018 marked the release of El Ruiseñor, El Amor y La Muerte. Despite Solari's Parkinson disease diagnosis and subsequent retirement from live shows, the band re-energized their activity in the following years with large-scale livestreamsâfirst the ticketed spectacle Desde los Satélites in November 2020 and then A los Pájaros from Villa Epecuén in April 2021âfollowed by a run of stadium documents on record: Desde los Satélites (2020), Los Fundamentalistas del Aire Acondicionado en Huracán (2023), La Vuelta al Condenado ParaÃso (En Vivo, Estadio Ãnico de La Plata, dic. 2021) (2024) and Vista Brava (En Vivo en Baradero, dic. 2024) (2025).
