Parallels is a Canadian synthpop band from Toronto, formed by Holly Dodson and Cameron Findlay. The duo released their first single, "Ultralight", digitally in 2008. In 2010, the band released their debut album Visionaries, which was nominated for an Independent Music Award for Best Album â Dance/Electronica. Notable songs from this period include "Find the Fire" and "Dry Blood", which featured on the soundtrack of the Academy Award-winning short film Curfew. Parallels' second album, XII, released in 2012, hit number 5 on Earshot! Canada's college radio charts. In 2017, they released their third full-length album, Metropolis, and its title track was featured on CBC Radio 1's "Hear & Now" show as the "Song of the Week". In 2018 and 2019, Parallels collaborated with Futurecop! on several singles, including "Edge Of The Universe" and "We Belong". In 2021, Parallels released their fifth studio album, SUPERSYMMETRY.
