Pandora's Box was an American girl group formed in 1989 by Jim Steinman, a composer known for his work with Meat Loaf, with members Elaine Caswell, Ellen Foley, Gina Taylor, and Deliria Wilde. The group was assembled by Steinman as a studio project centered on his songwriting and production. Their first single, âGood Girls Go To Heaven (Bad Girls Go Everywhere)â, was released in 1990, though it did not achieve significant commercial traction. In 1989, Pandora's Box issued the concept album Original Sin, on which the title track âOriginal Sinâ was later re-recorded by Meat Loaf for his 1995 album Welcome to the Neighbourhood; the song also served as the main theme for the musical Dance of the Vampires. The group never toured, as the albumâs commercial performance halted plans for live appearances. Pandora's Box disbanded shortly after the release of Original Sin, and no further albums or singles were issued. The groupâs contributions remain noted primarily for their association with Steinmanâs broader catalog rather than independent chart success.
