Paloma RocÃo Castillo Astorgaâknown professionally as Paloma Mamiâwas born on Novemberâ¯11, 1999, in Manhattan and raised between New York and Santiago. She first gained attention in 2018 when she self-released the bilingual single âNot Steady,â which blended trap, dancehall, R&B, and soul and went viral in Chile, shortly before becoming the first Chilean artist signed by Sony Music Latin. Subsequent singles like âNo Te Enamoresâ and âFingÃasâ in late 2018 and March 2019 topped Chilean charts, cementing her as a rising urbano-pop voice. Her debut studio album Sueños de Dalà arrived in March 2021âthe first Latin American debut by a Chilean solo artist to earn RIAA Latin Gold certificationâand featured hits like âReligiosa,â âGoteo,â and âMami.â That year, she also released the single âQue Rico Fueraâ with Ricky Martin, which became an international hit and charted across Latin America and the U.S. In 2025, Paloma Mami released her second album CÃDiGOS DE MUÃEKA, an empowered blend of reggaetón, dancehall, trap, dance-pop, and R&B. The album features singles âMi KAMAâ (2024), âHAKiAâ (May 2025), and collaborations with Rauw Alejandro, DannyLux, Pablo ChillâE, and Pailitaâincluding the lead visual single âAstrosââand was supported by a full album visual experience and anime-themed art premiere via Crunchyroll.
