Balbi el Chamako (born Patricio Oñate on June 23, 2000 in Santiago) began releasing music publicly with the single âTengo un Ãngelâ (2019), followed by âYo Tengo un Ãngel â Remixâ (2020), laying the foundation for a steady run of urban singles. He broadened his audience with âPásame la Botellaâ (2020) and âPásame la Botella (Remix)â (2021), then broke nationally with âPonleâ (2021) alongside Marcianeke and El Bai, and kept the momentum with âPonle (Remix)â (2022). His profile surged again with âEse Corteâ (2022) and the higher-profile âEse Corte (Remix)â (2023), while the collaboration âIbizaâ (2023) with Jere Klein and El Bai pushed him deeper into the Chilean urbano mainstream. A difficult personal milestone arrived at the end of that year when he was briefly kidnapped after a show in ValparaÃso in December 2023, an incident widely reported by Chilean media. He rebounded onstage in 2024, headlining his first solo concert at Sala Metrónomo in Santiago on October 13, 2024, and issuing the project Dando un Voltio, Vol. 1 (2024). In 2025 he continued releasing singles that underscored his mix of reggaetón, RKT and Latin trap, including âTu Cárcelâ (2025) and âNi Una Llamadaâ (2025).
