Biography

Paledusk, formed in 2014 in Fukuoka, Japan, is a Japanese metalcore group fronted by vocalist Kaito Nagai. The band emerged after Kaito Nagai met bassist Ash, and they began writing music in late 2014, performing extensively by April 2015. Their first EP, obsidian (2015), introduced the group’s blend of electronic and metal elements, followed by Amber(2016) and the single “Lovers” (2016). In 2017, the release of War Declaration (2017) and a supporting slot for Periphery in Japan marked a breakthrough, while guitarist Daisuke joined the lineup. Subsequent EPs BLUE ROSE (2018) and HAPPY TALK (2020) expanded their repertoire, featuring singles such as “SAVE ME / SAVE YOU” (2018) and “BLACK ICE” (2021). The band signed with SharpTone Records in the United States and Grayscale Records in Australia, and in 2021 secured representation with Avocado Bookings for Europe and the United Kingdom. Touring milestones included international shows and appearances such as Knotfest Japan, and their 2024 EP PALEHELL consolidates their progressive metalcore identity, while the single “HUGs” (2025) continued to extend their discographic presence.
