Pailhead was an American industrial ensemble formed in 1987. The group was a collaboration between Al Jourgensen of the band Ministry and Ian MacKaye, who had previously performed with Minor Threat. The members established the project after meeting in London. The lineup included Paul Barker, Bill Rieflin, and Eric Spicer. The ensembleâs musical style combined elements of industrial rock and hardcore punk. The group released the single âI Will Refuseâ / âNo Bunnyâ in 1987 through Wax Trax! Records. In 1988, the band released the four-track EP Trait, which featured the recordings âMan Should Surrenderâ and âDon't Stand in Lineâ. The ensemble never performed a live concert. Its music appeared in skateboard videos and the television program Cold Case. The track âI Will Refuseâ was covered by the group Soulfly. The ensemble became inactive in 1988.
