Pablo Herrera, born Pablo Arturo Herrera Rogers in Viña del Mar, Chile, on November 15, 1963, is a renowned Chilean singer-songwriter known for his romantic ballads and one of the key figures in the Latin pop scene since the 1980s. He launched his career in 1983 with Despertar, an album influenced by the Canto Nuevo movement, and gained early success with "Entre dos paredes" from his self-titled 1986 album. His 1989 release Rastros further solidified his style, blending soft pop with introspective lyrics. By 1992, Pablo Herrera reached new heights, earning second place at the Viña del Mar Festival with "Dale una oportunidad" and third place at the OTI Festival with "Te prometo," followed by the album Más arriba, featuring hits like "Amor, amor." His 1994 album Alto al fuego became his biggest success, leading to invitations to major Latin music festivals. Throughout the late 1990s and 2000s, albums like Yo voy contigo and Sentado en la vereda kept him at the forefront of Chilean music, including collaborations with Beto Cuevas. He later explored new sounds in DiscografÃa elemental electrónica (2007) and maintained his presence with Este amor (2010). In the following years, Pablo Herrera collaborated with younger artists like Aarón MartÃnez and consolidated his lasting influence on Chileâs pop and romantic music scene through LPs like Este Amor (2011), La Verdad (2014), and Duetos y Más, Vol. 1 (2018).
