Orozco Barrientos, a folk music duo consisting of Raúl "TilÃn" Orozco and Fernando Barrientos, originated in Mendoza, Argentina, in 2003. They gained international recognition at the Viña del Mar Festival in Chile, winning the "Gaviota de plata" award for their song "Pintadita". Their debut album, Celador de sueños, produced by Gustavo Santaolalla and released in 2004, blended traditional Cuyan rhythms with rock influences. The album was nominated for the Premios Gardel as Best Folk Group Album in 2005. Orozco Barrientos collaborated with notable artists such as Mercedes Sosa and León Gieco, performing at various festivals including CosquÃn. Their second album, Pulpa, was released in 2008. In 2013, they released their third album, Tinto.
