Biography
Olav Basoski, born on 14 October 1968 in Haarlem, Netherlands, began DJing at the age of fifteen, quickly establishing himself in the Dutch electronic scene. His early work included the single "Moscow Street Rock" and the EP Samplitude Vol. 1, marking his entry into the production arena. Basoskiâs career progressed with a steady stream of Samplitude releases, culminating in the single "Opium Scumbagz" and the EP Samplitude Vol. 12, which showcased his remixing prowess on tracks by artists such as Mirwais and Moby. In 2009 he released the single "Roulette" and the EP Beat Of My Heart, both receiving airplay on European dance radio stations. The 2013 single "New Day" further demonstrated his ability to blend melodic elements with club beats. Throughout his career, Basoski collaborated with fellow Dutch DJs, founded the label WORK with Erick E, and toured extensively across Europe, performing at clubs and festivals. His catalog includes over 200 tracks, with notable remixes for major artists and a consistent presence in club charts. Over the years, Olav Basoski remained a recognized figure in electronic music, acknowledged for his contributions to the genreâs evolution.
