Biography
A pioneering experimental rock band born in 1978, Nurse With Wound is the result of a skilful blend of noise and industrial music, krautrock and jazz, with a hint of surrealism. In more than thirty years of activity, playing master Steven Stapleton has multiplied collaborations throughout a career rich in albums. From Chance Meeting... (1979) to Man With the Woman Face (2002), via Homotopy to Marie (1982), Automating Vol. 1 (1986) and Thunder Perfect Mind (1992). Followed by a network of die-hard fans, NWW is a fixture at alternative festivals. The band's collaborations with visual artists and other industrial music formations lead to various projects such as the Wet Sounds installation with Graham Bowers in 2011, or the albums Erroneous: A Selection of Errors with Fritz Müller and the Italian band Larsen (2010) and Cabbalism with Blind Cave Salamander in 2012, after the release of Rupture.
