Numéro#, stylized as Numéro#, was an electro-pop duo from Montreal, Canada, formed in 2005 by French musician Jérôme Rocipon and Québécois Pierre Crube. Rocipon, a former rock guitarist from Bordeaux, France, collaborated with Crube, a composer of electronic music based in Montreal. Their initial compositions were exchanged online, leading to the formation of the group. The duo released their debut album, L'Idéologie des Stars, on November 7, 2006, via Saboteur Musique. The album featured the track "Hit Pop", which received airplay on commercial radio stations. Numéro# performed as an opening act for TTC. Their second album, Sport de Combat, was released on April 14, 2009, featuring the single "Tout est parfait". The duo also collaborated with the rap group Omnikrom on the latter's album Trop Banane! (2007), contributing to the tracks "Ghetto Hype" and "Bouger Bouger".
