Biography

Nostromo, a metalcore band from Geneva, Switzerland, was formed in 1996. The group initially consisted of Jéjé, Javier, Taverne, and Maik, evolving towards a more technical grindcore/metalcore sound over time. Their early performances included playing in local squats and releasing their first single, Selfish Blues / Lost Souls, in 1997. Nostromo's debut album, Argue, was released in 1998 on Snuff Records. The band gained further recognition with the EP Eyesore (2000) and the critically acclaimed album Ecce Lex (2002), recorded in Sweden with Mieszko Talarczyk of Nasum. Nostromo disbanded in 2005, but reunited in 2016 for a series of performances, including tours with Gojira and appearances at major festivals like Hellfest and Dour Festival. Their album Bucephale was released in 2022.
