La Zimbabwe, a reggae band from Argentina, was formed in1987 under the name La Zimbabwe Reggae Band. Their debut album, La Zimbabwe, released in 1988, included the hit "Natty Dread", which gained significant national attention. The following year, they supported UB40 at Vélez Sarsfield Stadium, performing to an audience of approximately thirty-five thousand people. The band's first formation disbanded in mid-1990. They reformed in late 1993 with a new lineup and released three albums: Cuestión De Honor (1994), which won an ACE Award for Best Pop Album in 1995, Seguir En La Ruta (1996), and ADN (1996). The band disbanded again in January 1999. In 2012, they returned to the reggae scene with a new formation and released Cuestión De Tiempo.
