Night in Gales is a melodic death metal band from Germany that was founded in 1995. The founding members are singer Christian Müller, the two guitarists Jens and Frank Basten, bassist and singer Tobias Bruchmann and drummer Christian Bass. After the first demo releases in 1995 and 1996, the debut album Towards the Twilight followed in 1997. Night in Gales undergoes repeated line-up changes, but regularly releases new music. A big breakthrough did not come for a long time. It was not until the beginning of the 2020s that they achieved their first chart successes. The album Dawnlight Garden entered the German charts for the first time in 2020 at number 64. Night in Gales also entered the German album charts in 2023 with the longplayer The Black Stream at number 77. Another studio album, Shadowreaper, followed at the end of 2024.
