Born in Châteauguay (Canada) on August 19, 1954, and died in Montreal on July 31, 2015, Nicole Cloutier is a country and pop singer from Quebec. In 1971, she released her first single, " L'Hirondelle ", a French version of Anne Murray's " Snowbird ", with which she scored her first hit. Singer Karo subsequently wrote a number of songs for her, including " Je te fais confiance ", " Il me fait penser à toi " and " Mes Grands prés verts ". In 1974, Nicole Cloutier released her second album, Fleurs de Papier , produced by René Angélil. The title track topped the Quebec charts. The following year, she scored a hit with " Donne-moi encore la chance de t'aimer ", an adaptation of Freddy Fender's " Before the Next Teardrop Falls ". In 1976, she appeared in Jean-Claude Lord's film Parlez-Nous d'Amour as a promising young singer. She continued to sing for pleasure, after her last single " Demain, je t'emmènerai " in 1977.
