Nicholas Gunn is an English flutist, composer, and producer who was born in Rochester, Kent, in 1968. He is famous for selling millions of recordings inspired by American National Parks and for founding the record label Blue Dot Music. Gunn achieved professional recognition in 1992 after his self-released debut studio recording Afternoon in Sedona received national radio airplay. His discography includes The Sacred Fire (1994), which reached number 10 on the Billboard New Age charts, and The Music of the Grand Canyon (1995), which has sold over one million copies. He also released the studio recordings Crossroads (1996), Return to Grand Canyon (1999), and Thirty-One Nights (2012), the latter reaching number 8 on the Billboard charts. Between 2017 and 2019, he performed with the electronic project Limelght alongside Tanner Wilfong. His recording Pacific Blue (2020) was awarded best Chill/Groove album at the ZMR Music Awards. In 2025, he released the anniversary studio recording 30.
