Biography

Nic & The Family, a Swedish pop group from Helsingborg, was formed in 2004. The band consisted of Nicolaj "Nic" Schröder on vocals, Axel Wihlborg and Putte Rokk (Patrik Lindberg) on guitars, Frida Worl (Frida Ekerlund) on bass, April May (Maja Alderin-Landgren) on keyboards, and Stellan Motväggen (Magnus Hoff) on drums. Their debut single "Hej Hej Monika" was released in 2004 and reached Number 1 on the Swedish Single Charts, remaining there for 25 weeks. The band's sole album Hej Hej Skiva was also released in 2004, peaking at number 37 on the Swedish Album Charts and staying there for four weeks. Another notable single from their discography was "Hej det är Nic... klick" (2004). In December 2017, "Hej Hej Monika" gained international recognition when it was featured by Swedish web video producer PewDiePie, leading to a cover version that garnered over 30 million views on a video streaming platform.
