Naoko Gushima is a Japanese singer-songwriter. She began playing the piano at age four and later dropped out of university to pursue music after meeting musician and vocal trainer Bobby Kirigaya. In 1996, Gushima released her debut album miss.G under Toshiba EMI, which included the single "Candy." Her subsequent albums include Quiet Emotion (1997), Mellow Medicine (1999), and MYSTIC SPICE (2007). In 2009, she released a compilation album titled Magic Wave. Gushima's work gained renewed attention in the 2010s due to increased interest in city pop. This led to reissues of her albums, including limited-edition remastered CDs and vinyl releases by Tower Records. In 2023, she released Prism, her first EP.
