Naked Raygun, an American punk rock band, formed in Chicago in 1980. The group initially consisted of Santiago Durango and Marko Pezzati, with Jeff Pezzati joining as the lead vocalist. Their debut release was the EP Basement Screams in 1983. Throughout their career, Naked Raygun released several albums, including Throb Throb (1985), All Rise (1986), and Jettison (1988). Notable songs from these albums include "Flammable Solid" and "Vanilla Blue". The band's lineup underwent multiple changes, with Jeff Pezzati remaining the sole constant member. In 1989, John Haggerty left to form Pegboy, and in 1992, the group disbanded, reuniting for a two-show performance in 1997, which resulted in the live album Free Shit!. The band's final studio album before disbanding was Raygun...Naked Raygun (1990). In 2006, they reunited permanently and released their latest album, Over the Overlords, in 2021.
