Naked Raygun, an American punk rock band, was formed in Chicago in 1980 by guitarist Santiago Durango, bassist Marko Pezzati, and vocalist Jeff Pezzati. The band released the EPs Basement Screams (1983) and Flammable Solid (1984), establishing a reputation for highâenergy punk. In the midâtoâlate 1980s, they released the albums Throb Throb (1985), All Rise (1986), Jettison (1988), Understand? (1989), and Raygun...Naked Raygun (1990) on Caroline. A 1997 reunion produced the live album Free Shit! (2001). After reuniting in 2006, Naked Raygun released Over the Overlords (2021) on Wax Trax!. They toured Riot Fest, the Summer Nationals, and opened for Foo Fighters at Wrigley Field in 2015. Bassist Pierre Kezdy died of cancer on Octoberâ¯9,â¯2020.
