Biography

Inspired by the nu jazz movement, Daoud is a French-Moroccan trumpeter and producer. Blending jazz fusion, smooth jazz, electronica and hip-hop rhythms, Daoud appeared on digital platforms in 2020 with the self-produced track "Kid Kid Kid", wrapped in repetitive ambient sounds and followed two years later by "It's Ridiculous", released by Soulwave Music. Between collaborations with Otaam, Sitting Duck, LMA and Dinis, the trumpeter recorded tracks for his debut album Good Boy (2024), released on the Le Studio du Renard label and featuring the singles "Ford Focus 1999", "Sticky Fingers", "Quick (Le restaurant)" and "Le Bâtard". Five tracks are included in new versions on the Faster Boy EP (2024). After the release of "Flyin'" in 2025, the following singles heralded the OK album, which reached No. 191 on the physical album sales chart, including contributions from Mehdi Nassouli, Teis Semey, Kuba Wiecek, Rosie Frater-Taylor and Julien Fillion.
