Biography
Flautist, composer, arranger and big band leader Christophe Dal Sasso cut his teeth as a self-taught musician alongside brothers Lionel and Stéphane Belmondo. Surrounded by the crème de la crème of French jazz musicians, he recorded the album Ouverture, hailed by a Django d'or in 2005, then Exploration, with the participation of Dave Liebman. This teacher of harmony, arranging and composition has taken part in a number of projects, including the Dal Sasso-Mandin Septet's 2008 album Spring. In 2011, he reactivated his luxury Big Band for the album Prétextes. 2013 saw the release of the album Ressac, based on the show of the same name. The following year sees the release of his tribute to John Coltrane's masterpiece A Love Supreme with his big band and the Belmondo brothers.
