Biography
Mouth of the Architect, an American heavy metal band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2003. The group released their debut album Time & Withering in 2004 on Translation Loss Records. Their second album, The Ties That Blind, featured guest vocals from Brent Hinds of Mastodon and was released in 2006. In 2008, they released their third studio album, Quietly. The EP The Violence Beneath followed in 2010. Their fourth full-length album, Dawning, was released in 2013. In 2016, they released Path of Eight. The band announced the departure of Steve Brooks and the return of Alex Vernon in 2018 and played their first gig with the new lineup in 2019 at a festival in Gainesville, Florida.
