Biography
Moses Hightower, an Icelandic band from ReykjavÃk, was formed in 2007 by DanÃel Friðrik Böðvarsson, Magnús Trygvason Eliassen, Andri Ãlafsson, and SteingrÃmur Karl Teague. They began as the live band for DÃsa (BryndÃs Jakobsdóttir), releasing their debut single "Búum til börn", which became the title track of their first album Búum Til Börn in 2010. Their second album, Ãnnur Mósebók, was released in 2012 and debuted high in the national charts with successful singles "Stutt skref", "Sjáum hvað setur" and "Háa c". The band won Songwriter of the Year and Lyricist of the Year at the Icelandic Music Awards 2012. Their third album, Fjallaloft, was released in 2017, featuring the successful single "Fjallaloft" and a live cover of Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights". Moses Hightower won the Icelandic Music Award for Songwriter of the Year 2017. Their fourth album Lyftutónlist was released in 2020.
