Biography
MOONLGHT (stage name of Stefan Schonewille) is a US-Dutch electronic dance music (EDM) producer and DJ born in the Netherlands who later relocated to Nashville, Tennessee. MOONLGHT gained recognition in the mid-2020s for remixing classic rock and country songs into modern EDM tracks that became popular on streaming platforms and social media. Before launching the MOONLGHT project, Schonewille worked as a producer and songwriter and co-founded the songwriting collective Pacific. His best-known releases include the viral remix of "Free Bird" as well as singles such as "Beauty and a Beat," "2AM," and "You Make Me Feel," helping establish him as a rising figure in the contemporary EDM scene.
