Born Maurits Jan Westveen in 1996, the Dutch producer and DJ Mau P entered the global dance game in 2022 with his breakout tech house single, "Drugs From Amsterdam." The track, which won both Song of the Year and Dance Song of the Year at the Electronic Dance Music Awards (EDMAs) in 2023 was remixed by electronic artist Reinier Zonneveld and A-lister Armand van Helden. Mau P replicated the success on 2023's track for Afterlife Recordings, "Metro" with Kevin de Vries, bagging one of the best dance tracks of the year. In 2023, he was tapped to remix Swedish House Mafia ("Ray of Solar"), Armand van Helden ("I Want Your Soul"), and Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding ("Miracle"). 2024 saw the release of new singles "Beats for the Underground," and "On Again."
