Montreux was an American fusion band active between 1982 and 1990. The group featured violinist Darol Anger, keyboardist and vocalist Barbara Higbie, mandolinist and guitarist Mike Marshall, and bassist Michael Manring. The musicians first collaborated in Paris in the late 1970s before releasing their initial recording, Tideline, in 1982 under their individual names. Montreux gained wider attention after performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1984, which led to the release of Live at Montreux. The band followed with Sign Language in 1987, an album that received a Grammy nomination. Montreux released their final album, Let Them Say, in 1989 before disbanding the following year.
