Les Reines Prochaines, a Swiss women's band, was founded in 1987 by Teresa Alonso, Regina Florida Schmid, and Muda Mathis. The group initially featured a synthesizer as their primary instrument alongside vocals. Their music spanned genres such as electronic music, jazz, and pop, often incorporating multimedia elements into their performances. In 1988, Fränzi Madörin and Pipilotti Rist joined the band, and Les Reines Prochaines released their debut album Jawohl, sie kannâs. Sie hatâs geschafft. in 1990, followed by Lob Ehre Ruhm in 1993 and Le CÅur en beurre doublegras in 1995. Les Reines Prochaines received the Swiss Music Prize in 2019 and the Basler Kulturpreis in 2022.
