Biography

Mizuki Fukumura (born October 30, 1996, in Tokyo) is a Japanese singer and former idol, best known as a member and later leader of Morning Musume and the seventh leader of Hello! Project. A lifelong fan of the collective since age three, she joined Hello! Pro Egg in 2008 after being inspired by Mini Moni. In 2011, she became the first Hello! Pro Egg member to join Morning Musume as part of the 9th generation. Over the years, she rose through the ranks, becoming sub-leader in 2013 and group leader in 2014 at the age of 18 — the youngest leader in the group’s history at the time. In 2019, Fukumura also became Hello! Project's leader, succeeding Ayaka Wada. She broke the record for the longest-serving member in Morning Musume history in 2022, staying with the group for over 12 years before graduating on November 29, 2023, during a special concert at Yokohama Arena. In 2024, she joined M-line club and switched agencies to JP Room. On April 23, 2025, she made her long-awaited solo debut with the double A-side single"Long Love Letter/Anniversary wa iranai", marking a new chapter in her career as a solo performer.
