Biography
Caterina Barbieri, known professionally as MissinCat, was born on May 18, 1978, in Milan, Italy. She began her music career as a bassist for the pop group Le Vertigini before launching her solo project under the pseudonym MissinCat in 2006. The following year, she moved to Berlin and gained significant attention when she served as an opening act for Amy Winehouse's German tour in October 2008. In 2009, MissinCat released her debut album Back On My Feet under the independent label Revolver. Her subsequent album Wow, released in 2011, featured collaborations with Swedish producer Sonny Boy Gustafsson and included a duet with Miss Li and Dente on the single "Capita". In 2015, she released her third album Wirewalker and her most recent album Earthling in 2024.
