Misery Loves Co. is a Swedish industrial metal duo formed in January 1993 by Patrik Wiren (vocals) and Ãrjan Ãrnkloo (guitar, bass, programming). Their first recorded track, âSonic Attack,â appeared on the metal compilation Extreme Close Up. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1995 through MNW Zone and was later reissued across Europe by Earache Records. The band toured extensively in the mid-to-late 1990s, expanding their live lineup and performing alongside acts such as Clawfinger, Slayer, Fear Factory, and Machine Head. They released the EP Happy? (1996) and singles including âNeed Another One,â followed by their second album Not Like Them (1997), which received chart recognition in the UK metal press. Their third album, Your Vision Was Never Mine to Share (2000), marked a shift toward a more subdued and melodic sound. The band disbanded later that same year. Misery Loves Co. reunited in 2016 and returned to recording and releasing new material, releasing Zero in 2019.
