Biography

Aaron Albano, known professionally as Ming, was born on January 1, 1972, in Syosset, New York. He is an American DJ, songwriter, and record producer who gained prominence during the late 1990s drum and bass movement. Albano graduated with honors from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, focusing on audio. He began his career as one half of the experimental hip-hop duo Ming + FS, founded in 1996, releasing albums like Hell's Kitchen (1999) and The Human Condition (2001). In 2003, Albano co-wrote five songs on Toby Lightman’s debut album Little Things. He established Hood Famous Music in 2006. Notable collaborations include remixes for Beyoncé and Lady Gaga.
