Biography

Michelle Jacqueline Chamuel, born in 1986 in Wellesley, Massachusetts, is an American singer, songwriter, and producer who began piano and violin lessons at an early age and later studied performing arts technology at the University of Michigan. After the band’s pause, Chamuel released the self‑titled album s/he in 2011, followed by the EP All the Pretty People in 2012 and the EP EP 1 later that year. In 2013 she appeared on season four of The Voice USA, finishing as runner‑up after performing tracks such as "I Kissed a Girl" and "Just Give Me a Reason", which earned recognition on the artist’s official site. That same year she issued her solo album All I Want under her own name, reaching Number Six on the U.S. Dance/Electronic Albums chart, and later released the single "Go Down Singing". Her subsequent albums Face the Fire (2015), Insights & Turnpikes (2017), and Couldn't Stay (2020) expanded her catalog, with Face the Fire attaining Number Twenty‑One on the U.S. Independent Albums chart; she also produced the score for the 2023 film Glitter & Doom.
